Sex-drive is not merely hormonal. The term is also used for conscious desire to engage in sexual activity. The fact that masturbation is pleasurable can encourage pre-pubescent children to seek out sexual activities as a result. But yes, an adult could severely injure a small child by attempting intercourse with them. That's why it's illegal.

I'm not reasoning from the perspective that it should be allowed in western society; there are too many negatives with it for it to be permitted to happen. I was merely pointing out that pre-pubescent children can still be highly sexual, mental and physical limitations notwithstanding.

They dont seek out sexual intercourse though. As I said a child knowing something feels good when they touch it and having an actual sex drive that drives them to desire intercourse are two different things.

this may be a little too much information but when I was in grade one I recall my first experiences with a form of pleasure being associated with my dick, or genitals or whatever. I had not a clue about sex or anything behind the biological aspect, but I definitely recall pleasuring myself down there. Sorry if this was TMI.

There can be widely varying societal standards of conduct where a certain behavior may be perfectly normal harmless/helpful in one society and be extraordinarily harmful/destructive in another.

You have to take the entire societal experience, from cradle to grave, into account.

Such behavior is accurately seen by Modern Western Standards and in a Modern Western Society as being extraordinarily harmful/destructive.

In their own society...I don't know.

It could easily have been just fine. Or not.

Sure they can but their body isnt ready for reproduction or sex. Physically they are not capable of this. Little girls will play with their gilry parts because it feels good and you can have an orgasm but that is just many things that need checked off to prove sexual maturity.
