Sea Devil Near Surface of Water Filmed at Tenerife
Off the coast of Tenerife, a live "sea devil" was filmed right near the surface of the water. The deep-sea anglerfish is usually only seen in the dark depths, but this time biologists recorded it in daylight. This may be the first time they've encountered it in such conditions.

Re: Sea Devil Near Surface of Water Filmed at Tenerife
I read that this happens at end of life for these creatures. If I had lived in darkness my entire life I would probably want to see the sun at least once before I died. I’ll say though, had it been me filming this, I’d have that little angler fish out of water and over to the taxidermist faster than you could say, “Encase this in resin please!” |
