Salem's Lot The Marsten House
If you are a fan of the original Salem's Lot movie from 1979, you may find this interesting. The movie was filmed in a small town called Ferndale California. The actual "Marsten House" shown in the film was actually just a "facade". Basically a flat wooden structure, like a billboard that was placed in front of a small doublewide type trailer. There is an excellent video on youtube where an individual goes to Ferndale to show you where various scenes were filmed for the movie. I was crushed when I found out that the Marsten House used in the movie wasn't really a house....lol

Re: Salem's Lot The Marsten House
It's funny how they chose that spot to make the "facade". It cost $100,000 to make it in front of that trailer. That photo that you can see of that trailer is very recent. I want that spot, and I want the real Marsten house up there, I'm only lacking about $5,000,000 ![]() |

Here are two photos taken of "Barlow's" antique shop. One from the movie in 1979. The other one is how it appears today in Ferndale.
