A museum has been built entirely out of SNOW and ice and covers an area bigger than TWO golf courses.

Craftsmen in Russia braved freezing temperatures to create the Snow Village in Murmansk, near the city of Kirovsk inside the Arctic Circle.

The frozen exhibition covers a whopping 2,014 square metres and it took 100 people to painstakingly create the very cool structure.

Inside, visitors will be taken through a maze of tunnels and have been amazed by finely detailed ice sculptures of "historical concepts and figures".

The structure is built every year and one of the attractions is an ice arch called "Rocket USSR", a homage to the Soviet Space Program.

But with obvious nods to Russian history and culture aside, the main theme is the 2014 Winter Olympics being held in Sochi.

Photographer Alexander Kryazhev, 26, took these amazing photographs of the Snow Village which will stand until early May.
