Russian Made Robots Killing ISIS In Syria
In the province of Latakia, army units of the Syrian army, backed by Russian military robots, have captured the strategic height of 754.5. The attack on*this height involved six robotic systems "Platform-M" and four sets of "Argo", reports WarFiles.ru. Attack of*the robots was supported by*the recently supplied to*Syria, self-propelled artillery guns (SPAG) "Acatsia" that can destroy enemy positions by*a high angle of*fire. From the air, reconnaissance drones were deployed to*monitor the situation on*the battlefield. They passed on*detailed information to*the field command center "Andromeda-D", as*well as*to Moscow*— to*the National Control Centre of*the Defence command post of*the General Staff of*Russia. Initially, attack robots were deployed, they approached the militants' fortifications at*a distance of*100-120 meters, thus attracting firing in*their direction, and after*the enemy positions from*where they were being fired at*were detected, the artillery guns (SPAG's) immediately struck at*them. Following the robots, at*a distance of*150-200 meters, the advancing Syrian infantry attacked, thus clearing way for*the capture of*the strategic height. Drones controlled all movements of*militants. Artillery strikes were conducted at*the militants' positions. Hardly 20 minutes after*the attack of*the fighting robots began, the militants fled, abandoning their dead and wounded. On the slopes of*the height of*754.5, about*70 dead militants were counted. No Syrian soldiers died in*this attack, only 4 were wounded.
