Yeah, cats and rabbits have this ability.... To the point that apparently, if you shoot a rabbit (in the head), it will lay down and die but then after 6 to 8 seconds the 'reflex' kicks in and it'll get up and jump around or even 'run' for a bit again. YT has many examples of this. The cat may have gotten grazed by a tooth perhaps but not a bite in even a critically brief clamp-and-inject sense: that clip happened in considerably less than a second, looks like.
