Eighteen school-age portraits present rock and metal performers from several generations, ranging from musicians who attended school in the 1960s to those pictured in the late 1980s or 1990s. The collection identifies Tom Araya, Freddie Mercury, Axl Rose, Jonathan Davis, Kirk Hammett, Anthony Kiedis, Kurt Cobain, Marilyn Manson, Slash, Steven Tyler, Corey Taylor, Alice Cooper, Tom Morello, Daron Malakian, Dimebag Darrell, Eddie Van Halen, Gene Simmons and James Hetfield.

Most appear in ties, jackets or other formal school attire. Hammett wears large glasses, Dimebag Darrell appears in a bow tie with a curly perm, and Taylor has long hair and a T-shirt. Most are yearbook-style portraits, although Mercury's image is a school photograph rather than a yearbook print. Three cards use birth names: Brian Warner for Marilyn Manson, Vincent Furnier for Alice Cooper and Saul Hudson for Slash.
