Rioting in Bolivia
Found these roaming youtube (alot of intriguing stuff can be found in other languages) Apparently it started when then President Gonzalo Sanchez de Lozada had agreed to supply the U.S for its natural gas. Of course locals knew that they were still going to be kept in the same economic state(some cops seen on the video were actually on strike when this occurred). More details on wikipedia |

Re: Rioting in Bolivia
When Halliburton and goes marching in there with their fracking equipment the current economic state will seam like paradise lost. "In 2005 Congress—at the behest of then Vice President Dick Cheney, a former CEO of gas driller Halliburton—exempted fracking from regulation under the Safe Drinking Water Act." Anyone who thinks Halliburton will treat Bolivians any better than or even as "good" as Americans is in Gaga land. Find the movie "Gaslands" then prey they don't find gas in your area. |

Re: Rioting in Bolivia
Things are 10 times worse there now. I guess that was to be expected, when you give power to a glorified banana farmer. Since its been discovered recently that the US sits on the largest natural gas and shale in the world, double the amount first discovered in Saudi arabia, Bolivia and Venezuela will sink back into 3rd world oblivion. Where they belong. I guess America isnt just good, but also lucky. |
