Parts of River road in Christchurch has been abandoned since the 22nd Feb quake two years ago. These are screen shots from footage filmed by me.

Abandoned Feb 22nd 2011. They will eventually be taken down. People still drive past quite a bit to look and there is plenty to see.

What fucks me off no end is the houses that are being removed are being destroyed without them being recycled.Dallington is worth a look see too

Cost effective measures, it's a lot quicker and safer just to bulldoze the sites.Some are being taken down piece by piece but entire streets and parts of entire suburbs are being returned to swampland which is what they originally were.

Also you don't want someone inside if there is another earthquake which will happen.
