Re: The Re-birthing Death of Candace Newmaker
So is blindly regurgitating popular ideas.. what's next.. it's the opiate of the masses? Original opinions are where it's at. As far as the story.. it makes me sick.. the adopted mother was complaining how it was like living with an 18 year old adolescent.. a girl in the 4th grade was causing her that many problems? That after so many years, attachment hadn't formed? The "mom" clearly was not ready for motherhood.. I have an opinion that most of her problems with the child stemmed from her being too overweight and lazy to play with her daughter, to be active and involved. Seems like some people adopt kids as if they were adopting the cute puppy from the pound.. purposely finding a child that needs extra love so they can give the neighbors something to talk about. Ugh. |

Re: The Re-birthing Death of Candace Newmaker
A picture of NC "psychologist," Bill Goble, who referred Jeane to the "therapists" in Colorado, without ever meeting Candace, should be shown along with the other "therapists" who killed Candace. Bill attended an unaccredited psychology program and his dissertation was on NC Baptist ministers and infidelity. (I suspect he was one of those Baptist ministers.) I was a client of Bills many years ago and would describe him as insensitive and verbally abusive. I was an adult so I knew to terminate quickly with him. I would not trust him to work with any children I know. Luckily, I have had some very good experiences with competent therapists since him.
