Re: Questions No One Knows the Answers To
There's no doubt about it, evolution is definitely a more compelling explanation on how we got here, rather than creationism which is metaphorical. But how do we know that science and the evolutionary process isn' the work of a divine power. Not necessarily a man in a robe with a beard, but an entity.

Re: Questions No One Knows the Answers To
if it is the work of a divine power, that power doesnt care much about its creations, is poor at designing things or bailed on the project prior to completion. for example, take our galaxy....its on a crash course with the Andromeda galaxy. so, the earth is doomed. doesnt seem like much of a design. so it very well could be the work of a creator, however the preponderance of the evidence points to no creator.

Re: Questions No One Knows the Answers To
I hear what you're saying, and understand perfectly clear. We will probably never fully understand God's intention. God created man with free-will, doesn't necessarily mean "it" doesn't care for it's creations, but consider this: would you allow a filthy, mangy, rabious dog or some homeless peasant into your home? That's how the Divine power works against sinners. As for the earth's impending demise, well it does talk about "conflicts in the Heavens" which to me sounds like a metaphor for all the instability going on in space right now. I'm a big fan of Carl Sagan by the way, do you watch the new Cosmos series? Just curious I dig these types of discussions. |
