Re: Questions No One Knows the Answers To
what i mean is this.... if there is a god and that god is loving, you then have to account for all the horrors of the world: children with cancer, birth defects, disease, children dying of starvation or dehydration ect.... you also have to account for the fact that most animals in the wild will die a violent, scary (for them) death.... you also have to account for various design flaws: the earth (while habitable) is very hostile toward human life, the sun (our only light source) gives us cancer if we arent careful, we eat and breathe from the same hole insuring some of us will choke do death annually (dolphins breathe and eat our of separate holes, so this isnt a hard concept for a god i would think), or the recurrent laryngeal nerve in giraffe necks. there is tons of evidence supporting the idea that the universe was formed without the aid of a creator or designer. so, i would say, if the creator was worried about our 'sin', that creator should be more than able to forgive or to make it's creations clean again. you asked if i would take a mangy, rabid dog in... i have done very close to that many times. i appreciate the conversation as well and i mean all of this with respect. |
