That is a snipe, that is actually a bronze skinned snipe--- they're fairly common all over the planet, they burrow during the day. You can pull them out of mud at night when they get closer to the surface. If you go to mud near any river and catch one you can take the specific breed to any local university for classification and earn $300. You can locate them because they let out a high pitched squeal you have to listen really closely for.
