Pterosaur Fossil Model
March 21, 2013 Brazilian paleontologist, Alexander Kellner, presents the fossils & a model of a newly discovered prehistoric pterosaur to journalists at the National Museum of the Federal University in Rio de Janeiro on March 20. According to Brazilian scientists, the specimen is referred to as Tropeognathus mesembrinus. The fossils are the largest known pterosaur remains recovered from the Southern Hemisphere & were found in rock formations dating 110 million years back.  · |
