I saw a doc a while back about a German "colony" somewhere in South America. Turns out they were actualy a christian group with a nut job for a leader who wouldn't let anyone in his congregation leave the colony nor allow outsiders to come in. Are these the same people? |

Nope. Like I said, it was a German "colony". Jonestown was an American "colony". Thanks anyway.

according to the documentary on which i saw these places, this is where the european colonists settled back in the day and these two towns have been kept that way the whole time since then.

Chile has one "Colonia Dignidad". Started by a Nazi it was known that no one could leave. Horror stories later on came out. Then again there are German colonies everywhere in South America. Venezuela has one called "Colonia Tobar".
