The dog was submerged so it had breathed in water. I am surprised it recovered. Not sure if it is correct, but I would have hung it by its rear legs and let gravity drain out the water.  |

That happened to a couple of 10-11 year old girls here in Tucson. There was a tarp floating on the surface, they jumped in, got wrapped up in the tarp, and both drowned. The family never heard a sound. |
