If they're learning how to drive or just about to get their permits or even just driving period, PLEASE show this to them. This was something I saw on Facebook and it's just..... please tell your kids why texting while driving and so on is dangerous, that what they're about to see DOES happen, and worse.

Exactly why I posted it here. I think seeing the after math of accidents is cool (which is why I'm on here religiously) but in this case, seeing HOW it happens and then the aftermath could open kids' eyes. Sometimes they need the visuals instead of just verbal.

I will send this to my oldest son, who has a license but lost it fot 6 months for dui. This is at least as dangerous. thanks!
I also think they should raise the age for a license in the states to 18. Come on, kids 15, 16 years old shouldn't mess with a deadly weapon!

I have to agree, much as I remember being 15/16 and living for my permit and license. I do think kids should be 18. I have a 15 yo son and the idea of him behind a wheel bothers me. Thank god he's not that eager to want to learn how to drive. I think he realizes that it's a lot of machine and power for a kid his age to have to be responsible for. If you think about it, you have to not just watch your driving but those around you, behind you and so on. It's a giant responsibility that I think IS too much for a child barely into their teens to have to hold.

Like I said, when I was that age, I would have hated any meddling adult telling me that, but being 36, I guess we view the world a little differently. Especially seeing stuff on here.

Here in Norway, ppl have to be 18 to drive! But still, it dosent help.

I am sick to death of being told that speed is the number one contributing factor in fatal crashes, it is not, it is people getting into there nice safe metal coffins and then switching off.
Some of these fatalities could have easily been avoided if people would pay attention to what they are doing, meaning turn your mobile off, leave the radio alone, put your make up on before you leave your house, do not try to read a map whilst moving, the worst road users are fucking mopeds, at 16 THEY THINK THEY ARE INVINCIBLE, to ride competently you have to treat all other road users as the enemy, would you agree whitehendrix.
