There is no way that the turtles all swam to the same beach, crawled to the same spot,...turned themseves over...and died.

More to the story.
Eum. yep actually this is what happens. Turtles are like salmons, they always come back to one specific spot to lay their eggs.

Eum. yep actually this is what happens. Turtles are like salmons, they always come back to one specific spot to lay their eggs.
And then turn themselves over?

They look too heavy for the birds to do it.

Have you read the post? It's said that a ''wall-hill'' has been built by humans and that when turtles tried to climb it they were falling back on their top.

Have you read the post? It's said that a ''wall-hill'' has been built by humans and that when turtles tried to climb it they were falling back on their top.
There are steep hills, banks and beaches in the wild sometimes. If they are too steep, turtles avoid them. They have a natural aversion to put themselves in situations where they can be turned over.

If turtles didn't have that aversion, they wouldn't still be around after millions of years.
