A guy i went to school with used to work in Alice Springs and told me that they test experimental aircraft there. He said he has seen UAVs and other weird looking aircraft that do not look like normal planes flying around the area.

If you have doubts as to the authenticity of the information then i suggest going on to Google Earth and looking at it yourself. The simple fact that the maps have obviously been tampered with is a good indication that there is something there we are not supposed to know about. Take note of the elevation of the dry river bed and the surrounding area where the secondary runway is (approx 1.6 Kilometers due east of the fenced area).

Here is another view that shows the area where the main runway is supposed to be, however the map has been severely tampered with. The main runway is to the south of the base, which is marked with a red cross.
