The peculiar pinnacles at Nambung National Park in Western Australia are natural limestone structures, some more than 15 feet tall. They were formed approximately 25,000-30,000 years ago after the sea receded and left deposits of seashells. Over time, coastal winds removed the surrounding sand leaving the pillars exposed.
