Re: Owl Swoops in for the Kill
So beautiful! A couple of years ago a barn owl became entangled in some new netting that I had put up in the barn that he wasn't aware of. He was on the ground completely knocked cuckoo. The dogs were barking ferociously. I ran out and found him. I was hesitant to pick him/her up because the talons were so long and sharp and the beak was quite sharp. But I slowly picked him up and took him to the house and put it on the enclosed sunporch. The next morning when I went out he started flying from one end of the porch to the other. I SO MUCH wanted to keep him. He was so beautiful. He would let me pet him and he would sit on my wrist. A most beautiful creature. I let him go. I really wanted to keep him but he was too beautiful to keep in a cage. It was truly a spiritual experience. |
