Re: Oh, Jesus Christ - World Trade Center
No doubt. I have had nightmares about those people that jumped or simply fell out blinded by smoke. It would suck to be in the planes or the floors that were hit. It was instant death for them, people who jumped had 102 minutes to contemplate their fate. Seems a bit like torture to me. We should have dragged Osama Bin Laden's ass back to New York city in a cage long enough to finish the new 1 World Trade. Then take him up top, light a fire under him and said choose motherfucker. Or better yet, set his ass on fire and kicked him off the top. Remember folks, listen for the bombs going off in this one. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/MOTqfYPzojE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |

Re: Oh, Jesus Christ - World Trade Center
Firstly, Bill, sorry to hear that 9/11 affected you as much as it did, and understandably so given that you were there pretty much in person, recording the devastation. I'm an Aussie, and the events even shocked me. But, though I was shocked, I had to admit that in the back of my mind was the thought, "The USA asked for this." Not in a malicious way; I didn't cheer or whoop or say anything pro-terrorism, but with the history the USA has for sticking their fingers in too many pies, sticking its nose often where it's not wanted or unbelonging, it just didn't surprise me at all when I watched those twin towers burn and fall. The victims in the towers were innocents. But the US government, military, and oil industry as a whole is far from innocent of encouraging such acts to be cast against them. I sometimes wonder if the folks who suffer the most as a result of 9/11 aren't the ones who simply lost family or friends that day, but the ones who lost family and friends and also feel that the USA deserved, or earned, it on some level. Just my 2c. |
