Re: The Northern Lights
When I lived in north-central North Dakota, you could see the Northern Lights frequently, particularly in winter. So a quick and easy way to see them is spend a week in ND during the winter. You won't see them every night, but I bet they'll be visible at least one night during that week. Just pack your wool socks, insulated boots, long underwear, wool scarf, heavy-duty mittens, facemask, and heavy insulated coat with a hood and you'll be fine. Oh, and either have a block heater installed on your vehicle -or- fly in and rent a car from the airport. Otherwise, if it gets below zero-degrees Fahrenheit, your car won't start if you don't plug in the block heater. Piece of cake, really. |
