Nomura's Jellyfish

Nomura's Jellyfish is a very large Japanese jellyfish. It is in the same size class as the lion's mane jellyfish, the largest cnidarian in the world. The width of these jellyfish are slightly larger than the height of most full grown men.
Growing up to 2 meters (6 feet 7 inches) in diameter and weighing up to 220 kilograms (ca. 450 pounds), Nomura's Jellyfish reside primarily in the waters between China and Japan, primarily centralized in the Yellow Sea and East China Sea .

Re: Nomura's Jellyfish

I think if I saw that swimming toward me I'd find out exactly what it feels like to piss in a wetsuit!

Re: Nomura's Jellyfish

You've never pissed in a wetsuit before? That's called heating it.

Re: Nomura's Jellyfish

If you get stung by a small jelleyfish..you have to pour your piss on it? I heard pee kills the pain or something..same with athletes foot. *shrug*
Jellyfish stings dont tickle either.

Re: Nomura's Jellyfish

I heard that if you pour vinegar (acetic acid) on a jellyfish sting it paralyzes the cells deposited in your skin by the sting and keeps them from releasing venom. I guess pee would work in a pinch because of the uric acid? Maybe? Anyone?

I've only had to wear a wetsuit a few times for surf rescue training, the water was so cold I couldn't even piss in it. :(

it is said urine does help to dull the pain.
