Re: No One Lived In This House Since 1956, When He Moved Inside in 2010
My Bullshit meter needle twitched ever so slightly reading all that. The house was NEVER lived in? Ever? In all that time? Everything is still there, in pristine condition? Not vandalized? Stolen? Anything? I find it a bit hard to believe... |

Re: No One Lived In This House Since 1956, When He Moved Inside in 2010
I don't believe the story either but I was in a house that was similar. It was a local doctors house. He was a nice guy. Too bad I can't say the same about his sons. Anyway they ate out most of the time. Kids moved out and the kitchen was rarely used. By the time I got to the estate sale the kitchen appliances were sold. One of the sons was moving in and gutting the place. Upstairs were two of the most amazing bathrooms I have ever seen. Pristine art deco boys and girls. The boys was done in black and teal tile, the girls pink and white. Everything still original. The son was going to tear it all out. I asked him that if I did the work for free could I have the material. He looked at me like I had asked to kck his dog in the nuts, turned and walked off. It all got destroyed. |
