Nifty Bike Lock

Focus has to be put on how to stop bicycle thieves from getting creative at picking locks? Simple, let’s make it a foolproof locking system. Which is why the Saddle Lock looks to be a superb solution. You can quickly lock the bike by pushing back the seat into the locking position and make a quick stop to get your coffee, very neat.

Re: Nifty Bike Lock

Neat but nothing stopping someone riding off with the bike still, they just need to cycle standing.

if you pedal, the lock would bust out the spokes on the back tire.

Look at the middle of pic 3 (The rear of the seat), the only way to steal the bike is to run off with it, there is a rod going through the spikes; when you pull the seat down, the rod is then locked into place (through the spikes), you can't ride off with it, that's the idea behind the bike.

Re: Nifty Bike Lock

How hard is it to pick up the bike and walk away with it to another location and then cut the lock? I'll stick to the traditional chaining to an immovable object.
