Re: Nicholaus Contreraz
He was a CHILD, you dumb fuck! No kid deserves to be tortured to death. |

Re: Nicholaus Contreraz
Agreed. The death penalty for shoplifting as a CHILD?? Seriously? That's pretty extreme. Sounds like he happened to have a bad flu or something when he went in that was ignored and exacerbated by being tortured there. Also, half of $4 mil may sound like a lot, but try to put a price on the life of your child. There's no amount of money that could make this travesty "right." So sad. :( |

Re: Nicholaus Contreraz
i disagree on one point - he was not a child nor was he a baby. he was 16 years old and in AZ you can be tried as an adult for committing adult-like actions like murder. yes, he was still a minor but not a child in the sense of the word, especially if he was running the streets doing shit he wasn't suppose to be doing. i do agree that he should have not been treated THAT badly and the staff should have treated him for being sick or whatever chest problem he had. none the less, they do not send first time offenders to SHOCK. he was most likely a multiple offender and a gang member. they don't send petty thieves to SHOCK. ***side note - yes we will always be someones "child" in our parents eyes in that sense. *** |

Re: Nicholaus Contreraz
Fair point. Scared Straight programs have a place, and if he was indeed a serious offender, he probably belonged there. Even an adult spiking a high temperature, with diarrhea, dehydration, vomiting, and those other symptoms would be taken for immediate medical care by any sane professional, however. So, yeah, massive staff fail. |

Re: Nicholaus Contreraz
Actually you dickless wonder most camps like this make juveniles much much worse than if they had been treated kindly. There are two types of juvenile reform centers. Those that hurt children and those than don't. The ones that hurt kids do society NO FAVORS. Btw $3,000,000 is 60 years in prison. At 17 that means he would have had to been imprisoned directly from juvi until he was 77 years old for this to have saved the taxpayer money. Just some food for thought. |

Re: Nicholaus Contreraz
Dude get fucking real. You know nothing about the juvenile system in CA and if you do then you are a fat assed liar. It's common for first time offenders to get sent to places were they get beaten. I had a couple friends who sold weed and got sent to Samoa before it got closed down because too many kids were dying. The stories they told me still stay with me.
