i understand that everyone thinks he should of "just put his hands behind his back" but i disagree. when i was 20 years old i did 11 months in jail for resisting arrest. i was held down in a similar fashion as the man in the video was by three officers. during the struggle i was beaten with a mag light and a police baton, i really didnt mean to resist but when three full-grown adults with weapons are beating your skull in you try and tell me your natural instinct isn't to struggle, that you can just relax. not to mention he was also suffocating. the human brain needs oxygen and was telling his muscles to kick and struggle so he could breath. he was in fight or flight mode with a adrenaline rush that could make you puke. there were 7 people on top of him i couldn't even imagine what he was feeling. im not trying to say anybody was wrong im not saying im right but if you have never been in a situation like this you cannot say you would have done what they want you to. FEAR is a juggernaut of emotions.

In fact, when we see a cop, we should all automatically just halt whatever we're doing, including thinking & all involuntary as well as instinctual reactions. We should stop, drop & roll onto our fronts with our anus' held up high and our hands behind our back, just in case any passing cop feels like abusing their power on us at that moment.

It is every citizen's duty to be every cop's slave & every cop's total bitch & we should be executed, immediately punished by death, for any infraction of 100% conformance with our masters' orders, to be carried out by our masters the police without trial, defence or any procedure whatsoever.

Furthermore, any injury sustained by our masters the police whilst they are executing us should be paid for by the family of the deceased, since their loved one's life is NOTHING compared to a cop's need to flex his "might" & assert his authority.

This system WORKS; it has done in the more democratic countries of Central & South America, such as Venezuela, Peru & Costa Rica, many nicer parts of Asia such as Myanmar, Laos & Cambodia & even Africa (Cameroun, Congo, Apartheid South Africa) and these are the models of justice on this planet that we strive to imitate in the West!

Let us hail our masters the police. Let their word be law, their might be right and their decisions our life or death !

Did you even watch the first half of the video? Thomas and the cop were sitting there chatting like two neighbors at a backyard fence, the victim showing absolutely no aggression and doing everything requested of him. The only time he showed any resistance whatsoever is when the first cop deliberately gives the poor slob conflicting instructions just to fuck with his head....seems the cops in question knew Thomas quite well and were fully aware that he was mentally ill and not prone to violence, so to watch the first guy go out of his way to confuse Thomas in this manner is sickening.

The police are the physical arm of our legal system. Once it is decided to arrest someone they will use as much force as necessary to accomplish that. The more you resist the more force they will use. The do not have to option once they start to just stop and let you go.
If the man had not resisted they would not have had to use force. Clearly this escalated quickly but the police did not have any option in this case but to use enough force to restrain him.
PCP. Ever heard of it. Several officers commented that the suspect was "On Something"

This all could have been avoided if he had just stopped resisting. I love how he keeps saying 'I'm sorry' as he continues to resist and fight. In my opinion he was on something to keep resisting for so long with 5-6 cops on top of him. Also he keeps screaming 'I can't breathe', if he couldn't breathe he couldn't scream let alone continue to scream for 10 minutes. Was the intial cop an asshole? Absolutely. But this guy escalated the situation when he decided to get up, run and then fight. Sorry he's dead but it's on him in my opinion.
