They roll their eyes back at the moment of contact with a food source & cover their eyes with a membrane to protect from injury. So essentially, at the moment of attack they are blind. Add to that, the fact that they have a difficult time backing up & you have an amazing shark encounter video!!!

Well they do feed them whilst in those cages and there's enough room for the shark to get it's head in. Stop feeding them and improve your cages
