That's horrible. I know they have to eat live food, that's why I couldn't own one. I had pet mice so I certainly would not wish to feed a baby one to a pet spider  |

They eat live invertebrates; there is no reason whatsoever to feed them on live vertebrates. They will often enjoy a pre-killed mouse but they don't even need it. Virtually every tarantula will thrive on a variety of mealworms, crickets, locusts etc. I choose to feed mice to some of my larger specimens but only pre-killed because live feeding is unnecessary. Not only that, I feed mine on grown mice specifically as a source of calcium and other nutrients, also, adult mice can easily injure the tarantula. |

No reason to feed live pinkies to tarantulas.  Ill never get the sadistic nature behind the enjoyment of live feedings. |
