My Garden

Flora and fauna. Will ID whenever I can. The first is a bee on one of the cosmos I grew this summer. I prefer the tall cosmos. Only bad thing about the tall cosmos are that they break easy.

Re: My Garden

Garden spider. They are what I call my "watchdogs". The only place I've found them are the areas on either side of my front porch. This one is on the side that has hostas and jewel weed.

Re: My Garden

OK not from my garden BUT I found it in my great grandma's tombstone. I didn't know it was alive when I put it In the pill bottle. So glad I didn't go with the original plan of wrapping it in a tissue to take it home to photograph lol.

It was a cold day that day but the day before it was almost 70. I figured it was out in that nice weather and it got too cold too suddenly and the cold did what cold does to em because a few minutes in a warm car she was very much alive. Released her close to where I found her.

Re: My Garden

Some "weed" (wildflower) and towards the bottom right is what I believe is a hummingbird moth.

Re: My Garden

This fell out of a tree in my backyard about two summers ago. I THINK the nest builder was a tuffed titmouse. They Use hair and four in nests and this nest is lined with my hair clippings . I toss em out for this very reason.

Re: My Garden

The orange flowers here are "jewel weed " & those yellow flowers are goldenrod I believe. I let them grow to fill in that space.
