Mother Locks Child Molester In Laundry Room
Steven Rekowski, 44, of Aurora admitted to police he took photos of a child he molested. The mother made a 911 call new years day, she was a long time friend of Rekowski, knowing him for nearly a decade. According to an affidavit, a friend of the mother was using Rekowski's phone at the time and saw that he emailed himself images. The images were selfies of the molestation. She then said to Rekowski... "tell her mother or I will" Rekowski and that friend then went to the mothers house where he confessed, she responded by locking him in the laundryroom and calling the police. A few months later Steven Rekowski is convicted and sentenced to 170 years in prison.  · |

Police Cyber Crimes Unit forensically examined eleven of the devices, which included 846,122 images and/or video files. Sergeant Simmons classified approximately 272,687 of those files. Ten percent of those files could be classified as child pornography, and 84 percent of the files could be classified as child erotica. Approximately 9,000 of the files were files frequently possessed by those involved in child pornography. Sergeant Simmons also located pictures and videos of R. engaged in sexual acts with children.
