Meet Loki the Cleaning Robot

Loki Robotics is a company focused on developing autonomous cleaning robots designed to handle complex, high-contact environments like commercial bathrooms, office kitchens, and high-traffic spaces.

Founded in 2024 by Miks Ozols and Antonio Arbues, the company is headquartered in San Francisco, with a Swiss entity, Loki Robotics GmbH, established in Zurich in February 2025.

Their flagship robot, also named Loki, mimics human cleaning methods, autonomously navigating buildings, opening doors, and adapting to various surfaces while adhering to sanitation standards.

It uses a combination of end-to-end learning and teleoperation to enable rapid deployment and improve autonomy over time.

The company has raised $1.6 million in pre-seed funding as of May 23, 2025, led by Byfounders, with participation from Acequia Capital, Unruly Capital, and others.

Loki Robotics aims to reduce labor costs and enhance efficiency in the $350 billion global cleaning market, targeting commercial offices with a monthly lease model.

The robot is equipped to handle tasks like swapping tools and applying cleaning agents with precision, and it supports remote quality assurance via recordings. Competitors include SOMATIC, Primech AI, and Peanut Robotics.

I was not impressed with how it cleaned the tables and kitchen countertops. Mostly just wiped the exposed surfaces. Did not remove and clean under the objects on the tables and stacked along the rear of the counter to give a complete cleaning. Did not touch the kitchen sink interior or fittings. Sinks at office kitchens can get nasty in a hurry.

Same with toilet but who knows in a couple of years Loki gets some improvements

I didn’t like how he cleaned the toilet first then used the same brush all over the rest of the house. I’m pretty sure he resents the job and wants to kill all of the humans.

I got one of those!

But after two weeks of training, we were still stuck with it licking my knob clean.
