though not directly affected by the floods;i am a resident of TN.about an hr south of nashville.When you see this on tv in another country or part of us it just doesn't sink in like when it's this close to home.seeing places i have been and often go under water kinda sobering.it's pretty bad there at the moment.strick water usage in place.Most did not have flood insurance.some did. fortunately people down here are very gracious to jump in and help in such situations. |

This is shocking. I was stuck on the 3rd floor for 3 days. Since Friday to Monday. I am just glad I am alive or my corpse would be posted on this site!  |

I'm about 100 miles from Nashville. The rain was so hard it tore up my yard looked like someone took a garden hoe to some places. Had to roll it flat twice in the last two weeks.
