Mapping America: 2010 New York Times Census Tract Demographics Map
The New York Times released Mapping America: Every City, Every Block in mid-December 2010 after the Census Bureau published American Community Survey five-year estimates for 2005 through 2009. Matthew Bloch, Shan Carter and Alan McLean built the nationwide interactive with Social Explorer, allowing users to examine census-tract estimates for race and ethnicity, income, housing and families, and education. The race and ethnicity layer represented every 100 people with a colored dot and divided estimates into White, Black, Hispanic, Asian and other categories. The displayed view includes a tract with an estimated population of 12,031 and a percentage breakdown for each group. Because the American Community Survey figures were derived from samples, the map warned that estimates carried margins of error, particularly in places with small populations. |

Re: Mapping America: 2010 New York Times Census Tract Demographics Map
You hate to sound racist but the map is a really good tool. I'm sure there would be a direct correlation to the higher crime areas being in high minority areas. I also find it interesting that if you overlaid a political party affiliation map over it, the high minority areas would also be overwhelmingly Democrat. No surprise as they are the voters who don't want to stop the entitlement and free money gravy train. |

i checked the censusUK site and no there is not.... you know as well as i do that the UK does everything it can to prevent racial discrimination even if it means turning a blind eye and hiding the reality from the public....but the truth is pretty clear
