The Man With the 30 Second Memory

Might as well kill it... this guy is even less useful than a retard! At least some of them can be trained to collect shopping trolleys... what a pointless existence.

Re: The Man With the 30 Second Memory

That's so tragic. The wife divorced him for a time, which is understandable. It's sweet how happy he is to see her.

Re: The Man With the 30 Second Memory

It's not fake, we studied his case briefly in psychology. Basically the neurotransmitters between his short term and long term memory are disconnected.

According to theory on memory, information stays in the short term memory up to 30 seconds, and is passed onto the long term thereafter.

Re: The Man With the 30 Second Memory

An interesting case, definitely. Feel sorry for him. And I can understand how he can still "remember" how to play the piano, as I can play any piece I've learned from muscle memory, and hold a perfectly lucid conversation with someone without looking at the piano. Patterned nervous sequences can be executed autonomously from conscious thought.
