Re: Law And Disorder In Philadelphia
I used to live in Killadelphia before I joined the flocks and moved to the suburbs. Philadelphia is now like a third world country. The neighborhoods all turned from working middle class families to section 8 and welfare recipients. With that came the graffiti, violence, gangs, crime until the place is now literally a war zone. I only go back for weddings and funerals now. In fact at my uncles funeral one of his friends, Philly police officer Chuck Cassidy was in attendance and actually drove his police car at the head of the funeral procession. A week later he was going into Dunkin Donuts and had the misfortune to walk in on an armed robbery where a guy shot him in the head and ran out of the store. His scum bag family helped him to get out of town before finally being caught in Florida. There are still plenty of good people in Philly but they are scared and potential victims every day they stay in the city. Center City has become a hip spot for professionals but the old neighborhoods which gave Philly it's character are now war zones. Sorry for the long post but wanted readers to have some personal insight. |
