Wish I knew : A. Who the little girl was? (I assume a grandchild) B. Who the young man was.? C. Who filmed it? D. Where was it filmed? I assume it was filmed at Stan Laurel's home in Los Angeles, but since I have never been there I couldn't say. One of the women is Stan Laurel's wife, and the other must be Oliver Hardy's 2nd wife, as he remarried after his first wife died. I understand he was very lonely after her death, and so Stan's wife set him up on some dates to find a new wife. I love this kind of casual film, just showing people being people, and doing the small regular things that people do, having friends over for coffee. One other note: The whole time Stan Laurel lived in L.A. he had his address and phone number in the Los Angeles phone book. He felt that any fan that wanted to talk to him, should be able to call him right up. You'd never see that today............ |
