Love love love spiders. I learned at a young age it's much better to know what you are looking at, much less fear. Know what to run from, at least!  Jumpers are out now where I live in Wisconsin, had one on the doorknob yesterday, ended up playing with her for a while until she tired of me and jumped off my hand into the bushes. Love those little fuckers.  |

I took this pic last year of this nice St Andrew's Cross spider. It's part of the Orb-weaver family. Orb-weaver web is sometimes used for micro-surgery suturing.  |
