Jasenovac - Cruelest Death Camp in WW2 (documentary)
Hey very interesting. The “Srbosjek”, or literally meaning “Serb cutter” in Serbian and Croatian was a specially designed knife used by the Croatian Ustaše during World War II |

Re: Jasenovac - Cruelest Death Camp in WW2 (documentary)
The "Sbosjek" name in German is Garbenmesser, or Garben-Aufschneidemesser: a wheat sheaf knife use to speed up the work of cutting the rope that tied the sheaves. Was invented in Germany and many surviving examples has D.R.G.M. mark on the blade. DRGM stands for "Deutsches Reiches Gebrauchs Musterschutz" , meaning "protected patented design under the Reich Government", this term was used from before the WW1 until the end of WW2 and it is not a military marking, this can be found on anything German made in that period. Anyway it is truly fascinating how Houstaschas found a new life for a farming tool, to speed up their work and not get hurt in the process of slaughtering.
