Japan - Climber Attacked By Bear
"Not the most pleasant moments were experienced by a climber from Japan, who suddenly met a bear in the mountains. The animal tried to attack him, but was rebuffed and fled."

Well, THAT was alarming! I can't say "I can't tell you how often that's happened to ME!" because it never has happened so far. It COULD have been an exceptionally angry Squirrel Element, though. |

The guy sure handled that attack well. His reaction times on defense were nearly perfect.

Re: Japan - Climber Attacked By Bear
I disagree. His screams were too high pitched and panicked, breaking into shrieks. I think the bear was encouraged to attack because the climber sounded too much like injured prey. Consider the bawl of a wounded rabbit. His vocals should have been more masculine, low pitched and booming. I suspect strings of angry curse words would have helped because wild animals tend to shy from humans. |
