Irreversible Fire Extinguisher Scene From the 2002 Film
Gaspar Noé's 2002 French film Irréversible opens with a sequence set in the Rectum, a gay club in Paris. Pierre, played by Albert Dupontel, is searching for the man who raped Alex, played by Monica Bellucci. He attacks and kills a man with a fire extinguisher as other patrons watch. Because the story unfolds in reverse chronological order, the audience later learns that Pierre killed the wrong man. The actual rapist, known as Le Ténia, is nearby during the attack. Noé appears in a cameo as an onlooker masturbating, a detail he added in post-production in response to accusations that the sequence was homophobic. The dark, red-orange sequence shows men moving through the club, a shirtless onlooker and the struggle on the floor amid haze and green light. Irréversible premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2002.

I love this movie! Irréversible (2002) It also has one of the most brutal rape scenes I've ever seen in it. The fire extinguisher is payback for the rape, and the killing takes place in a crazy gay fetish club. |

Re: Irreversible Fire Extinguisher Scene From the 2002 Film
you can tell it's fake, honestly. The impact of the third hit from the fire extinguisher woulda fucked up his face and he would've at least bled... Faiiillure to be realistic, but what can we say it was 2002, right? :) |
