Iridescent Clouds
Inspired by Kelly's post the other day, I thought some of you in the community might like to check out these lucky shots taken over the last few years. The first 3 photos are called Corona because the colors will appear like a solid rainbow circle very close around the sun and if conditions are right, will produce spectacular colors. The rest of the photos are commonly called cloud iridescence and are caused by diffracted sunlight in the clouds. The colors you see are very close to how they really appeared at the time, it is difficult to view them without sunglasses because it is usually very close to the sun, by using the in-camera filter I was able to best capture those colors without any post camera editing. The sky is Nature's canvas.
