Re: Inside a $300 Million Yacht
Eclipse (Roman Abramovich's yacht) 162.5m (533'2") ![]() It has installed an anti-paparazzi “shield”. Lasers sweep the surroundings and when they detect a CCD, they fire a bolt of light right at the camera to obliterate any photograph: it doesn't operate all time though, and it's still unclear how it works. It has also two helicopter pads, 24 guest cabins, two swimming pools, several hot tubs,a disco hall; it's also equipped with three launch boats and a mini-submarine that is capable of submerging to 50 metres. It's also fitted with intruder detection systems and a German-built missile defence system. Approximately 70 crew members are needed to operate the yacht. http://www.boatinternational.com/yac...argest-yachts/ http://www.wired.com/gadgetlab/2009/...n-giant-yacht/ You can rent it: it costs only 1,2 million £. (1.933.920 $.) a week |
