As a parent and grandparent I would never say my nurturing skills were above reproach, however, the lack of parental intervention in this case is a crime beyond belief! My personal feeling about this family cannot be described with acceptable language. The only feelings you have are for your own selfish loss. If you were capable of guilt and shame, you would commit yourselves to serving others and begging for forgiveness.

I read this whole essay on the 4-20-99 Columbine site. I feel for her and her husband. I know it wasn't their faults. All the love in the world wouldn't have saved Dylan from the demons inside his own head. I hope the Harris' family releases their own mini-memoir like this but I won't get my hopes up. They've been very hush hush since that day and as far as I know haven't even released a comment in years. When the fuck will we see those basement tapes!!!!???
