The I Have a Dream Photograph (1963)
Taken in Washington DC at the climax of his “I Have A Dream” speech, Martin Luther King Jr. raises his arm on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial and calls out for deliverance with the electrifying words of an old ***** spiritual hymn, “Free at last! Free at last! Thank God Almighty, we are free at last!”, 1963.

You'd think after all the shit he's been through, people might at least have put forth some effort towards stopping any sort of racism, so his death would not have been in vain

off all the things i did and saw in your amazing land the ONE thing that stopped me in my tracks was that i got to stand where this great man gave that brilliant speech.truly i was lost for words
