Huge Meteor Caught on Cam

A fireball, giant and green, has been captured on camera roaring through the sky above Devon.

The giant green fireball meteor seen over the UK has been captured on camera by Norman Lockyer Observatory in Sidmouth.

The "bolide" meteor was seen in the West Country, Wales and the West Midlands at 3am on Monday, June 30.

The fireball is reported to have been green in colour and bright enough to cast shadows.

It is believed the meteor broke into several pieces as it entered the Earth's atmosphere and was spotted across the UK.

Stunned traffic officers spotted the ‘bolide’ meteor as they travelled on the M42 in the West Midlands at 03:00 BST on Monday.

The clip released by West Midlands Police shows the bright white flash of light hurtling across the sky in front on their vehicle.
