I was spearfishing off Jupiter, Florida today. I had just speared an lesser AJ and was in the process of getting him off the tip of my spear, when a Goliath grouper (I'm guessing in the 500-600 lb range) decided he wanted my kill more.

He goes after my fin and practically eats my foot. Then as I'm trying to get my fin back on, he goes after my kill and snags it along with my gun!

I made chase but couldn't keep up with him. Luckily I found my gun on the sand bed about 1/4 mile away!

My wife is filming and managed to hold steady for this brief moment and get the shot!
