I find it hard not to feel bad for, presumably, German guy, regardless of how misguided his and the people he represents course of action may be. I think the idea that Europeans are obligated to assist other Europeans, no matter how different they are, comes from the fact that the actions of even a single European nation can destabilize the entire continent. So isn't it the kind of thing where whats good for them is good for us?
