Re: How Many Pterodactyls Did You Kill In the War, Daddy?
"Take for instance, what are we to make of the above picture of soldiers wearing Civil War (or War Between the States) uniforms while an apparent pterodactyl is at their feet? Verdict: photoshopping." "The Cryptozoology Museum doesn’t only include evidence of the existence of cryptids (including a shelf of Bigfoot fecal samples, which have had the DNA tested with no primate matches), but also has examples of many hoaxes from over the years, including the FOX civil war pterodactyl pictured below. The actual pterodactyl model is in the museum can be seen in the photo." |

Wait, there's more! "This photo was sent to the Coast-to-Coast radio program by someone named Ernest Todd. Details about the origin or context of the photo were not provided. The photo appears to be taken from a newspaper, but digital manipulations would make such a forgery quite easy. The head of the creature looks bird-like, but the wings look more like that of a pterosaur." · |

Yeah most of those solders in the photo are way too chubby to be starving Civil War solders, given only rations of coffee and hard tack the entire time out in the field.
